I began using Apple computers a long time ago, in a small publishing department. I went on to use Quark, then Adobe software, eventually started illustrating on the computer and have gone on — and on — from there.

HERvotes is off to a great start

HERvotes is a coalition of women’s organizations, formed to mobilize women voters. I do a lot of work for Raising Women’s Voices, one of the coalition members, and I turned the above logo around for the effort very quickly yesterday morning. Find out more about HERvotes at:

Custom iPad and iPhone icons

I finally delved into prepping icons for iPad and iPhone home screens (visible when web pages are saved to home screen, not bookmarked). You can see the difference in this screen capture.

The top three icons are all customized for iPad. They’re apps, so you’d expect them to be. The bottom three are web page links saved to my home screen. The middle one is the one I just created and linked to within the header code on the MergerWatch.org website, abbreviated (by me) to MW. The other two don’t have custom icons prepped, so they are just shrunken screen shots of the whole site or a portion. Not as effective.

I’m going to be rolling these out to my other clients soon, no charge.

I’ve been working closely (and furiously) with the MergerWatch team to put the finishing touches on their new website, and it went live yesterday. We’re all happy with how this turned out. Great clients doing very good work.
